Navy Blue and Pink Chicago Wedding

Navy blue was the most popular color in the studio last spring. I had the opportunity to design an invitation for Stephanie and John who were married in May. Their color scheme was navy blue with various shades of pink. They wanted a vintage look with a modern twist. After they had met with their florist, I drew some designs of the peonies, roses and calla lilies used in their floral arrangements. I drew the flowers to resemble an etching to give the design a vintage feel and then we added pink to update the appearance and add some color. A vellum wrap was selected for the closure which added a bit of elegance to the outside of their invitation.

The wedding program featured navy blue cardstock with satin ribbon and an embossed cut out displaying their names. Matching escort cards were displayed on navy blue table linens at the reception. Guests were provided with menus tucked into their napkins at each place setting.
